yeah I saw that. my thought was that it will do little for Chamonix but its likely to encourage verbier and cervinia to open

It might be quite different this year. Autumn felt like autumn and not like extended summer we had last couple of years, so there is a chance this snow will start building the base. Fingers crossed. About time we had a cold winter in Switzerland.
