Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What to wear when skiing

@robhogg, I am still waiting for conditions requiring more than a base top and a shell (apart from night skiing). I often use fleece gloves or cycling gloves for spring skiing, but for top wear I find a thin softshell jacket is a lot more breathable than a full mountain shell unless you are skiing in full on storms.

I think I'm going to abandon my arsenal of wicking base layers, wind-proof techie Fleeces, goose down Gilets, 3 layer Goretex shell, Merino Socks and Helmut....and go with Gabardine Jacket, Flannel Shirt, Plus 4s and Tam O'Shanter....I'll cut quite a dash coming down The Face, in January. @Old Fartbag, I'm buying a 1990's turquoise Adidas shell suit, and an 1980's Nevica padded day-glo jacket for colder days. Also some SX91 Equipe ski boots and Fisher RC4 207cm GS skis with race 747 bindings, luminous orange poles and have thrown may Sweet Protection helmet away, bought myself a furry headband a pair of Julbo round mirror specs. Its the future...... Toofy Grin

Good man....If I'd known, I could have donated a Late 70s Event Suit, some Carrerra 70s Glacier Sunglasses (replete with detachable leather nose protector), a bright yellow Blizzard woolen Headband, some 1980 Volkl Renntigers (195) and some Rear Entry Nordica N955.

Now wouldn't that be a thing?

For white outs, I have an 80s Neon Green, Phoenix (remember them?) Jacket/Trousers....I'm like a Lighthouse on Skis.
