Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Epic Pass, offered by Vail Resorts, has expanded the coverage of European resorts that are covered for the forthcoming season. Details here. Deadline to buy this pass is just a couple of days away if you are interested.

@rob@rar, thanks for this. I have just whiled away a fair bit of time reading it all, and the various bits of small print. I see that for Switzerland and Austria you have yo be staying in 'participating properties', but this doesn't apply to France and Italy. It don't work for us this year, but I can imagine there are people it might suit.

I think this only works well for people skiing a lot in Vail. Don't think it is usefull for Europeans, even though is seems two Australian plans a wild trip in Europe. Shocked

Worked as break even Euro only when you didn't have the hotel restrictions when they had the full roster including Arlberg, Vernier & 3V. The hotel restrictions suck ass to be honest. Couldn't be bothered trying to find anywhere affordable in Vernier to use my pass for a long weekend.
