Poster: A snowHead

There's a group of five or six lads looking for a bit of off piste, some touring and a sneaky occasional beer.
Serre Che has come up in conversation.
Will it cut le moutarde?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@Mosha Marc, Well the Snowhead's off piste bash is held there, so that's a clue. I'm sure you'll get loads of info as it's a popular Snowhead destination. Lots of lovely off piste amongst the larch trees and so many ski areas to explore in the area, including excursions into Italy. You can't go wrong but many more on here can give you better guidance as I've only been there once which was last season.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I thought la Grave was a big + too.
Don't suppose you fancy a dabble Jon?

If they don't want lively apres but just want great off piste, I'm sure it'll fit the bill nicely. We found it very quiet in the evenings when we went.

Plenty of beer here!
Also the tree skiing is fantastic, if the snow isn't perfect here (but it holds up well being north facing) you've got easy access to the Via Lattea, La Grave and the resorts in the Queyras.
I live for off-piste and am never disappointed
Just don't come at Christmas.............

@spyderjon, @KenX, We were thinking of sometime between mid January to early Feb.
I don't think nightlife is a big pull. We went to Chamonix last year and never really got further than the Jeckle

@Mosha Marc, as long as you're happy with a couple of bars and occasional live bands, Serre Che will be perfect. Trees for the bad days, loads of off-piste and potential for trips to La Grave. We'll be here at Christmas this year, bank holidays dictate that I am not at work so it would be rude not to be here. My fingers will be crossed for better snow than last Christmas. Mid to late January should be perfect.
