Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

May's been pretty good in Tirol; conditions now are about the best they've been all winter. Soft, stable fresh snow, clear blue sky...

Yesterday we went skitouring in the Kalkkögel, Tirol's 'mini Dolomites,' adjacent to the Axamer Lizum ski area. Quite a few people about as it was a public holiday and the first clear day after a decent storm, but there are so many options in the Kalkkögel you can always find fresh turns somewhere (and it's nice to not have to break trail the whole way!).

We bagged the Wildspitze today from Pitztal Glacier: great snow here : previous 2 days telemarking here, but tomorrow is their last day.

Didn't manage to bag Zuckerhutl from Stubai earlier due to claggy weather, but snow was fantastic there: real cold powder (when you could see where you were going)

@geoffers, nice work! Yep Stubai can be really good with late season storms! Some really nice skiing from Zuckerhutl down the Sulzenaugletscher when you can see too!
