Poster: A snowHead

The adaptive ski group that my daughter skis with desperately needs new sit skis. Likely cost £25-30k for the 6-7 sit skis needed (price is slightly fluid as they are bought from the US and it depends on currency conversion, but the cost of each sit ski is roughly £4k) Beyond our normal fundraising can anyone suggest foundations/companies that we might approach for donations. the charityare based in Wales. We were very fortunate to get a grant from the Hilton Foundation about 2 years ago that funded 2 new hoc glide 2 sit skis but we now need more to replace 6-7 sit skis that are reaching the end of their shelf life and which are much less comfortable for the sit skiers and also their riders where applicable. Any thoughts or suggestions gratefully received.
ps any wealthy benefactors pm me (I can hope) and I will send you a link to the charity's just giving site.

Sponsored summer skiing decent mileage events are pretty popular ski fundraisers. Set a descent target i.e. Everest height in combined descents for a team to lap Hemel/Tamworth/wherever in a day.
Or take a leaf out of the old Snowcamp rally - 24h for teams to do a lap at every Snowdome in the UK.

@dan100, is there any reason not to post the justgiving link here? I'm a bit allergic to justgiving, since they take a cut, so would be more inclined to donate if the charity were using BT's mydonate, which is totally free. You can have both justgiving and mydonate accounts at the same time. I'm trustee of a charity and mydonate works very well and pays out very quickly, too.
I'll PM you another potential source of funding that we have used successfully.
