Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

First trip to Sweden in 2 weeks Very Happy

Anywhere good for a few apres ski drinks that we won't need to sell a kidney to finance?!

Arriving late on the Sunday night and will probably want to head straight out so any recommendations for where to grab a quick breakfast that's near the skistar rental shop or the main chair?

Thanks

MCL

Bakery at the bottom of the Brunkulla apartments is quite chic/cool - but slightly more pricey than some of the other places. The restaurant at the top of the VM8 chair is open early, I recall, so you could head in there - no idea as to quality and cost.

Scandinavia and cheap alcohol is like a unicorn....

I went to Tallinn in Estonia and it was chock full of Finnish who'd nipped over from Helsinki for the weekend due to the fact booze was many many times cheaper and it's just a short ferry crossing...

Despite cost of the ferry and hotel it was still cheaper from them.

That being said I still love Sweden and went many times when my uncle used to live there.

When we ate at Wersens, there was a great atmosphere. Restaurant and bar v busy. 0.5l weissbier was about £5-6.

If you like your ale/craft beer then head for Parkvillan, it's quite small and tends to be mainly locals, not cheap but the beers are not that much more than London prices. Spirits are a different kettle of fish altogether.

@Hyst, have a great time, definitely one of my favourite places to ski, partly because of the uncrowded slopes and partly because the locals are so friendly.
