Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Icelandair

Starting to think about next years holiday and planning on going back to the States so having a look at flights. Icelandair seems like a good deal, £580 each, we can have a couple of days in Reykjavik and two pieces of hold luggage each, so no stressing about ski carriage. Last time we flew out with BA and back with United with different rules for ski carriage, which caused added complications to the holiday.

However, how much of a budget airline is it, I have seen you have to pay for food and drinks on the flight, which is fine, but how comfortable is economy? Is it a squeeze, with no leg room, or not too bad.

Have a look on seatguru. They generally have the seat dimensions, leg room, etc. listed for every flight.

They have plenty legroom the seats are leather and quite firm the in flight entertainment is good too seat back screens. Soft drinks are free coffee water orange juice etc. After you book you can "bid" to be upgraded. Have done this a couple of times paid think it was £150 extra for the Iceland to Denver flight didn't bother with the Glasgow to Iceland leg as it's only a couple of hours saga class is much better champagne on boarding etc.

if you're ok with a stopover, then you can usually do BA club class with a proper flatbed for pretty much bang on a grand to US west coast, or about £750 to East Coast.
