Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bourg Saint Maurice Area - ABS Cylinder Hire?

A mate is flying in with an airline that won't allow him to carry ABS cylinders and triggers.

Does any one know of anywhere to hire them in the Bourg Saint Maurice / Isere Valley area? I've found Jean Sports in Val, but was hoping to find somewhere slightly closer as we're at the other end of the valley in Brides-Les-Bains.

You are really looking at Moutiers rather than Bourg but I can't find a stockist down there. However there are 4 stockists in Courchevel and 4 in Meribel which is probably going to be your entry point into the 3V:

@chocksaway, Thank you - we'll have a car so don't mind a bit of a drive - but will get on to those shops in Meribel first.

@betterinblack, He's coming over from Eastern Europe so it's not the normal UK carriers. I think Tarim, Alitalia & Wizz are the airlines.

I hired an ABS bag last year from these guys in Les Menuires. Much cheaper than up the road in Val Thorens. They also happily refunded part of a deposit when I had to change my booking despite it being my fault and them not being obliged to.
