Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Broken wrist rehab question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Well talbyem's wrist which she broke at Tamworth fridge on new years day is now out of plaster but rather surprisingly (to me anyway) the fracture clinic didn't suggest any exercises to get it working again properly, in fact according to Em all they did was take off the cast ask her to touch her fingers and thumb together and sent her on the way. The plaster came off 10 days ago (kids have been with the ex the last 2 weeks) and today she can only bend the one she broke about half as far as the unbroken one and pops and clicks once it gets about half as far as it will go. She says it doesn't seem to changed since the cast came off.
I've told her to get to the GPs next week (back with the ex who said don't worry about it but she is getting a bit concerned) but does anyone have any ideas for exercises she can be doing in the meantime to help get the full range of movement back.

@davkt, physio time is very limited in the NHS. Might be worth making her a private appointment with a physio, especially if you find someone who specialises in wrists. Shouldn't cost more than around £50.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi everyone -this may be my first post! I've broken both wrists over the last couple of years- neither actually skiing. Must be better off here in Yorkshire on the NHS because I got some physio and info on what exercises to do eg with my hand over an edge lifting and dropping,etc but look further on the web -I think I found info on the NHS site and elsewhere that will help. Only do the exercises as far as she can -don't force but do a session daily and it should start improving steadily

@davkt,
She needs physio, the sooner the better.
She may only need a couple of appointments for guidance so may be worth
Paying to get going quicker if their is a delay on the NHS
