Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski & boot hire in Cervinia

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are a group of 20 headed for Cervinia, first week of April. We are of varied ability and none of us top notch skiers. So budget is an important factor in ski rental. Cheapest I can find is "Top One" ski shop (via Snowbrainer or alpineresorts), but it looks a bit on the small side and I wonder if they have enough decent kit to sort us all out. Otherwise there is Nol Ski (via SkiSet) which is more expensive but has good reviews on tripadvisor. We are staying at Hotel Lyskamm and both shops are quite close. Any advice?

@chomski, Don't know about Nol Ski, but can vouch for Top One. They have superb kit. A couple of Snowheads that I was with rented from them (I brought my own 2 pairs of skis).
They got the new for this season Völkl RTM84 and Rossignol Hero ST Ti, for example.
I also spied Rossi's "S7" range (Super, Squad & Soul 7) in the shop, if anyone from your group fancies venturing off piste.
They also have great choice of ski boots, again I saw some top of the range boots.
But above all, they're a really friendly bunch. They waxed my 2 pairs of skis for me, did a great job and also did some minor binding adjustment.
All with a smile and enthusiasm.
I can not praise them enough.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Whatever you do, don't use Cervinia 2001 (few doors down from Hotel da Compagnoni). Recommended to us by the hotel and got discount there, but terrible equipment - all of our skis developed some problem during the week - and their attitude was very care-free about the problems.
