Just a quick one guys,
Have any of you ever work for MK Dome as an Instructor? My application at Hemel seems to have fallen on deaf ears but MK are interested in meeting me. I don't know much about MK or how they run so was hoping some of you might be able to shed some light?

I've not worked (or even skied) at MK, but I do work at Hemel. I'm surprised your application there hasn't received a response as we always need more instructors to meet the huge demand. If you'd like to send me your details and who you've contacted I can see if I can get things moving.

Hi Chris, thanks for posting. Did I say thanks but no thanks? If your available one day at the weekend you can indeed join our Team of instructors ( with a valid licence) if you pass the selection process.
Shadowing is a service we provide to trainee instructors and we value the extra assistance, we do don't charge for it as you know and hopefully you get lots of experience working alongside qualified and experienced instructor which develops your skills. Also you gain access to the slope ( again without any charge). We are not obliged to provide shadowing opportunities and sometime we do turn people down for various reasons. It is a kind of two way arrangement that needs to work both ways.
So my office is top of the stairs in the Lodge area. Or just ask for me in the Centre ( not on a Sunday) Look forwards to seeing you : )
Pete

@chrisrawles, make sure you get added to the instructors' facebook group when you start at Hemel: that is the primary means of communication rather than email now.

You know it makes sense.

@chrisrawles, possibly moaning about someone's manners on a public forum could be seen as being rude too. Especially if that person might be able to offer you an opportunity at any point in the future.
