Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
I met someone last week who had a neat pair of ski boots which she could wear around the village and then attached a strap which made them great for attaching for skiing. They seemed to be a lot softer on the feet than the rigid uncomfortable snowboots we all know and hate!!! I think she said she bought them in the States and have been looking on forums but cannot find them. Has anyone come across these. Sorry but I am a beginner so not very techinical I'm afraid.
Obviously

Either of these possibly?

Both discussed at the bottom of this page, though it's a little technical

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

P.s. a well fitted pair of ski boots should not be something anyone hates, or feel uncomfortable - I'm on my second pair of professionally fitted 'hard boots' and love both pairs.
As a beginner though it's best until you are a little more confident and happy you'll keep skiing until you spend the money on your own pair - but it's worth it when you do, if you get the right pair!

Yeh thanks fixx- Problem is I am learning atm and get shoved into all types of boot until I am sure,I want to carry on and buy my own?
Thanks for the links. It certainly isn't the first link but will have a look in more detail at the other link. My friend had awful problems with her boots as she had short legs and her shins were raw at the end of the day with sores. As I am a beginner I want to be incredibly happy with my gear as that is half the battle.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

No it isn't Apex as these seem to be in a frame. Hers seem to have straps.
