Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Runs for teaching little kids in Les Arc

Just arrived at Arc 1600 and looking for reccomendations on lifts and areas where I can teach my 5 year old, whose on his first ski trip.

Anyone know if there is a public access jardin des enfants in 1600? I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow, and I know there is Mille 8 in 1800, but I'm just looking for a heads up.

The only beginners area in Arc 1600 is the Combettes piste. It is served by a free chairlift on Saturdays and Sundays, but after that you have to have a lift pass. The bottom is fairly gentle and for the first couple of runs with walking up, but to be honest the whole piste itself is pretty steep for an absloute beginner.

However I am sure your childs skischool will work it out perfectly. I would see what they have to say.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yep, ski instructors will know exactly where to take kids of all levels.

There is a beginners area to the right of the Combettes served by the Tommelet lift (poma?) I think that lift is free all week.

Take the free navette to 1800 and use the beginners slope associated with the Mile8 development - magic carpet and a nice gentle incline.
