Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Old Ski Gear

Partner had a bit of a brainwave this morning and i would like to share it.

With homelessness on the rise and the baltic cold and wet weather , we reckoned giving the old ski gear to a local organisation is very helpful.
The gear is waterproof and insulated.
We dropped off a couple of bags of stuff this morning and explained what it was , they hadnt thought of it either and said it was perfect ,even put a shout out on social media.

So anyways , maybe some readers will have a lot of old gear and think its a good idea too.

I also like the idea of the street drinkers wearing garish ski gear and bobble hats supping on the Special Brew

When I passed through Victoria Station a couple of weeks ago there were lots of people with big black bags collecting warm stuff to "Keep London Warm". I had a tatty old scarf with me and donated that - I hadn't known about the collection as I only go to London occasionally, but they were doing pretty well.

Mind you, I do wish there was a bit of baltic weather...... anything but. wink

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I do this with old clothing. With skis I give to dsuk. 1 pair lasts ages with the monoskis and its a fantastic cause. There's always dsuk lessons on at Tamworth whilst my little one is I kids club. K have so much admiration for the skiers for doing it and the staff for helping out.
