Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all I am brand new to snow heads and although my hubby has skied before our family will be off to livigno for Christmas and transfers for 5 of us is very expensive but a friend who has been before has suggested hiring a car. Can anyone advise me is this doable or any advice either way. Many thanks in advance. Michelle x Puzzled

welcome to snowheads @michelletheminx snowHead I don't know that particular route but somebody who does will be able to confirm. Hiring a car sounds an excellent idea and presumably Austrian hired cars (like Swiss ones) come equipped with snow tyres. Make sure you have chains too and maybe practice putting them on in the easy environment of the car park, if it looks like being snowy weather (as you hope......).

If it looks like being a snowy week you might also enquire about covered parking; digging cars out of snowdrifts soon loses its novelty value.

Have a great holiday. snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Pam thank you for your reply it's helpful as I had been told of the snow tyres and chains but didn't think about parking at the resort. I will message the guy who we are renting from and check. We are all getting very excited. Can I ask how we are best checking the snow conditions please.
Many thanks x
