Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good Instructors in Hemel... And Zell am See

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
So, I have managed to lure my partner onto snow for the first time, and I am not going to be the one who teaches her... Going to Austria for atmosphere and spa experience, but I think she'd benefit from some fridge-time first...

Anyone got any ideas about a) good private instructors at Hemel or MK for a first-timer, b) comments about ski school instructors in Zell.

All comments of any sort appreciated snowHead

@stoat of the dead, Inside Out at Hemel might be able to suggest someone as I don't think they do beginner tuition. There are probably a few other sH who could do it too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@stoat of the dead, Mrs Tubaski and I did that last year, some indoor group (not private) lessons then ski school in Zell Am See. Our instructor in Zell was an English guy called Harry at the Sport Alpin school - he seemed very good and certainly made it a lot of fun. I also heard good things about him from another instructor (not at the same firm).

@stoat of the dead, there's a few snowheads who teach at hemel, all very good. There's the option of adult groups too apres lessons on Wednesday might be more fun but progress would be slower due to numbers.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Hells Bells, might message Rob. One obvious bloke sadly gone Sad

@Little Martin, think for a familiarization lesson it's going to have to be a private weekend thingy. 90 mins away and we work.

@stoat of the dead, as @Little Martin says there are a few of us here who teach at Hemel. I would recommend giving the booking team a phone, explain what you're after and when you'd like to come in, and I think they'll be able to look through who's available and sort you out with someone suitable. Bear in mind though that especially at weekends we're going to be very busy now for the next few months so all the available instructors will be booked and you might find there aren't many slots available for private lessons.

Surely the punters at Mt.Hemel are outnumbered by SHeds racking up BASI hours by now?

@chrisrawles, I was there all day last sunday, will be there sunday afternoon/evening this weekend.

@Richard_Sideways, they are everywhere, you can't get rid of them, found one under a table once, muttering something about refusing a wear a helmet and why hasn't it snowed in the alps yet
