Poster: A snowHead

There's a ski route going down to the Horbergbahn station in Mayrhofen. Has anybody been on it? What's it like? Manageable for an intermediate boarder?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Never been on it but I was told last time I was there that it is very rarely open.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have done it twice, both times about 10 years ago, first time the route was closed, the second time it was open. Neither were enjoyable, huge moguls, at the top, felt like they were five feet deep, poor signposting so you were never too sure if you were going in the correct direction and football field sheets of ice towards the bottom. Never again.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I did it last year in late January even though it was officially closed. Lots of trees, poorly sign posted and near the bottom I remember that we had to take our skis off to cross a road. I did it on skis not a board and if I am really honest did not enjoy it that much.
I guess it depends on the conditions and your ability.
Good luck if you do try it.

Thanks guys. It was closed... but from the sounds of it, wouldn't have been a pleasant experience anyway
