Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sportube series 3

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi anyone one has sportube series 3? I have a few questions.

If I only fit it with two pair of skis plus poles - would that not offer as much protection as series 2 as the skis will be rocking inside the tube (as series 3 is too big)?

Will I be able to fit two pair of skis plus poles plus ski boots (at least one pair, but hopefully two)?

I'm a skier and I'm debating if I should get series 2 or series 3. Ideally I would like to fit the boots with the skis in series 3.

I've not tried but I think you'd struggle. Don't you want to take your boots on as hand luggage? I have a series 2 and can fit 4 pairs of skis in poles as all my bindings are on rails or QK inserts

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have a 3, but it's for snowboards. I use bubble wrap for my boards anyway, you could do the same with skis. I'd say two pairs of skis would easily fit. I put my (race) snowboard boots in there and they're like ski boots. I suppose you could put 4 skis along the bottom and then a couple of pairs of boots ontop and probably get that to under 23Kgs. You have to try, really.

Boots as hand luggage? That's a bit old school, people used to do that, I've never bothered.

They are more important to me than my child (well not quite)

If I lost everything else in transit id have a little cry, but my boots, well then suicide would be on the cards...... rolling eyes

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That would be my Kessler SL, in my case. Boots I can get replacements for, my snowboard needs to be built.
