Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot length when fitting binding

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Am after buying some new skiis with bindings. They are asking for boot length but boots are in France and I am not
Will a difference in boot length alter where binding is mounted or how the binding length is adjusted? (Binding adjustment can obviously be completed when we get back to France)

If you know the make and model of your boots, you can google to get the bsl (boot length) and therefore you will know!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You could hope that you could get the bindings mounted to your boot size rather than boot sole length which is normally embossed into the boot near the heel, but I would wait till you get back together with your boots and get the bindings fitted locally, if there isn't enough leeway on the adjustment, you'd have to get them remounted anyway and have an extra set of holes in the skis.......

why? a 27.5 for example could (in alpine boots ) be anything from a 310mm-319mm so you always mount to the boot sole length to get the mid point of the boot over the mid point (or which ever part of the ski you have chosen to have it over)

rocksteadee if you know the make model and mondo size then it should be easy enough to get the BSL

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Rocksteadee, why not just get them shipped unmounted and mount them e.g. in France?
