Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How good are they for snowboard advice and snowboard boot fitting? Are there better places to check out in NW England?
Thanks

Subvert at Chill are better for snowboarding. Greater choice with both boots and boards and they know their stuff. Also TSA which is part of Ellis Brigham in Manchester have some staff who rally know their kit.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Second the above (I think). The snowboard specialist shop opposite SnR on the ground floor are really helpful and friendly guys - recommend them, and so does the OH (who knows a bit more about boarding than I do!)

Don't know where you are in n w England but if near lake district try to Anything Technical in Kendal.Small independent shop owned by skiers.
They were flooded out in the Cumbrian deluge and were just finishing cleaning up when I appeared trying to buy a helmet. No electricity so could not serve me.. but back to footwear. My partner has bought two pairs of customised ski boots there and insoles for running shoes and has had v good service. As much attention to detail as the likes of Surefoot and such like who I have had experience of..At least as far as I could see/judge. Obviously this is from a skiing perspective but as I said if you are in the vicinity try them out or phone them to see if they have someone there who boards.
