I use mine for pruning roses. It's just started raining here and this thread reminded me that they were still out, down the garden, result.

I wore these when doing my last season.
They absolutely reeked and had to be binned by the end. Mine were cheap as chips, and very useful for non-ski stuff though.
For example, excellent for working on my Land Rover on cold mornings when the damned thing wouldn't start, though.
