Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Club Meds

Poster: A snowHead
HI there, I have been reading a bit about all the Club Med options - but I am so confused as to where to go. We are a couple in our 40's travelling from South Africa so we have 7 days a year to ski... Not taking kids along and intermediate skiers. I am torn between the different options as I haven't been to a Club Med before (this will be our first try) and don't know which resort to choose. We have done Val Thorens before so that is out, as well as Cervinia. We like to ski a lot of different runs and like a bit of apre ski. We are also looking for a ski-in resort. Val d Isere isn't getting very good reviews lately. I am looking at Meribel, Peisy- Vallandry, Tignes. We would like a bit of an option of lunch in the mountains (I think Meribel had such an option) if possible.

ANY ANY ANY advice would be greatly appreciated

Very Happy Very Happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame you can't do Val Thorens as the Club Med resort there is phenomenal, stayed there in April just gone and it is awesome in every respect. Meribel no longer does a mountain restaurant, neither do the others you mention. Peisey is a great hotel but apres ski is limited in the village. You could go to St Moritz. The Club Med there has mountain restaurants, an extensive village with loads going on plus a lot of facilities in the hotel. Overall though I would go for Chamonix. Has everything you're looking for!

Also sent you a DM on this too...

Tignes may met your requirements. CM is right on the piste. Although, they don't do a lunch in the mountains option - they do a lunch at our linked resort - so you can stay in Tignes and lunch at Val D'isere.

Apres is sort of laid on in CM (even if it is very french) alternatively there are several pubs within a short distance of the Tignes CM.

Meribel also does the option of lunch at Val Thorens.
