Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thinking, just possibly, of a change from our very happy holidays in Morzine due to the trip being a bit later next year. Thinking high, thinking biggish area as we like to get mileage under our skis. Children getting a bit older and very capable of distance. Poss Italy, although restricted to geneva airport and don't really want to drive much more than 2 hours. Any ideas?

Would have to consider Three Valleys, huge mileage of pistes, really well linked up, pretty much all fast lifts now and no significant queues, high up, pretty snow sure, good variety for mixed groups. Coach from Geneva is usually about 3 hours if traffic and snow ok, I drove it last year in a hire car - slow on the way there as roads deep in snow but only just over 2 hours on way back. Sunday tends to be quieter than Saturday. It's got some drawbacks - mainly it's expensive, particularly Courchevel but pretty much across the whole place now and it's all a bit purpose built but that comes with the height. A good option can be a UK chalet company, there's a lot of choice. Everyone has their preferred location, I like La Tania - it's a quiet place but a bit cheaper, lots of chalets - as I like the Courchevel Valley and it also links quickly into the Meribel valley and it's pretty quick to head across to the Val Thorens and Les Menuires Valley but there are lots of other options. Les Arcs and Val / Tignes pretty similar but a bit further to drive.

Mmmm I have a feeling you're right @SkierRob, Very Happy . I've spent years avoiding the 3V, but I suspect they would suit us well. Thanks!
