Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone know about Soll

intermediate Boarder who likes Austrian villages and Apres. Have been to St Anton (loved it) , Mayrhofen (runs a bit short), Kitzbuhel (okay resort but not great for boarders). Tend to stick to groomers and powder by the side, never near the park. Like large Ski Areas such as 3 vallees and Espace Killy (accepting they are in France and Austrian areas not quite the same) and love St Anton style après (more KK than Moose).

Is Soll likely to tick my boxes? Plan is to go maybe January or early March
Cheers

I liked soll but I'm not a border so don't know what the particular requirements are. have you looked at Ischgl. I'm sure someone will be along in a minute with a decent better answer Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you think Mayrhofen runs are a bit short (though you may have been doing the wrong runs Wink ) then you may think the same of Soll .

I like Soll and the Skiwelt too, but agree with those who say the runs can seem a bit short.

All the home runs in the Ski Welt (6 or 7) are at least 5K long. Salvenstadle has probably one of the best apres in Austria.

@kb36, you won't be making any big mistakes by going for Söll. The runs are long enough and varied enough. The scenery is stunning by the Wilde Kaiser... what's not to like?

if you find the slopes of Kitz a little bit short then better to choose somewhere else to go
However Söll is only a part of the huge SkiWelt , consequently i dont think that you dont have enough km of slopes

On the other hand, as a snowboarder my self i think Saalbach is much better for us.
Dont ask why....i cannot explain it but i liked Saalbach much more
And dont forget that from this winter saalbach has a connection with Fieberbrunn...
