Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Down Skis 2015/2016 Pre-Sale

It started today and the line up of skis is pretty nice, particularly their 'free-touring' planks. I plopped down for the largest of their YW8 series which is going to save me half a kilo per foot in the skis alone over the Rangers I've been dragging up everything the last couple of seasons.

I also like the look of the Showdown 115 but might get murdered for buying too many skis and cluttering up our place.

I'm still LOVING my 6's from two seasons ago - equivalent now being the CD 107's I think. Plenty wide enough for me as a 'powder' ski, as I'm a girl, and 1m72. Still nimble enough to take out on-piste and ski pretty much anything, but normally kept for deeper days Smile

Those YW8's are gorgeous Shocked Jealous.

Have some CD 7s from a couple of years and to begin with, didn't like them as they were too hooky, had too much edge grip on hard pack and wouldn't slide. Have now played with the base bevel and am enjoying skiing on them.
