Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

macks, Welcome to snowHeads snowHead

For my money, one of the best boot fitters is Jo Jo, Nevada Sports, formerly of Rue de la Poste Tignes and now Nevada Sports 2 in Bourg St. Maurice. He is former boot man to the French team. I have had two pairs of boots from him over 12 year and many friends will also attest to his excellent service. Perhaps other snowHeads as well. He has sold his shop in Tignes just opened the shop in Bourg for this season. If you feel it is of any interest, I will get his contact details for you. An appointment is best to avoid a long wait in the shop.

I don't know how you will be travelling to Val d'Isere, but you will pass his shop. It is approx 800m beyond the railway station in Bourg St. Maurice, on the right hand side, on the road to Val d'Isere/Tignes, etc.

macks, Check previous threads on this subject. Precision Ski in Val centre opposite tourist office are the best in the resort itself

Thanks for your help guys,i'm on a package deal with Mark Warner. So i presume we will be straight into the resort.I've checked out the precision ski web site and they look pretty good so i'm probably going to give them a try.I think it will be a little more convenient, although the other guy sounds good.again thanks very much for your replys

I'd ring/email precision and book an appointment if I were you, they are very busy and ideally you want a boot fit on the 1st day, to give the rest of the holiday for "tweaking"

Which Mark Warner are you in? If your in the Val D'Isere it's really close to the Precision boot shop.

regards

Greg

gregh, I thought that the precision boot shop was seperate to the rest of their shop, a bit more towards the nursery slope.

I bought my boots in Precision, if you're with Mark Warner, because they have their change over day on a Sunday rather than a Saturday, you shouldn't have any problems finding a fitter at all.
