Hi
Need some help finding a new resort after 3 good years in St Anton its time to try somewhere new, need some help to find it........
We love to Ski in/ski out pref BB with a wellness, don't mind a few greens first thing to get us to the main lift.
We love mainly blues longer the better, dont mind reds but try and avoid the blacks.
We like to wander round a town so need a decent spattering of shops to peruse.
We love to eat out so a good choice of restaurants.
We hate a long queue in the morning like Ischgl.
We hate trudging through town lugging our stuff.
Dont mind where we fly to, we will normally rent a car, so getting there isn't an issue.
Hope you can help.
p.s. currently considering Saalbach so any info on the above would be great.

@dannygreen70, if you are considering France then I would recommend Les Gets (Geneva). Though I would avoid if you were considering New Year/Feb half term as much as I love the place.
Lots of quality mountain restaurants to choose from and in the village too. Lovely Savoyard village to walk in/shop. Lots of good blues and reds. Short transfer.
I can't recommend a ski in/ski out residence as we have always stayed in the village.

Definitely keep Saalbach/Hinterglemm on your list. Been there three times in the past 2 years, after many trips to France. Lovely skiing area for all levels, picturesque views' great hotels etc etc. Plentiful good mountain restaurants. Can't speak for eating out at night in town as we normally eat in the hotel as part of the package but I know others have enthused. Also we are not great Apres fans but know that Saalbach especially is highly rated.

re Ischgl only queue is at Silveretta since the new left opened
We normally used the Finnba lift and most days we had a bubble to our self's
Granted we were not there at New year 
Generally i would say the resort is less steep than St Anton
Sela Ronda area in Italy an option if you are into blues and easy reds

Belle Plagne ticks most of your boxes except for limited choice of restaurants. And it's mostly self-catering or fully-catered chalets. B&B isn't really a 'French' thing.

Could try Mayrhofen - decent sized town with some excellent restaurants and plenty of hotels close to main gondola. You can leave your skis and boots in locker up at top of gondola if hotel bit further away. Get to gondola before 9.30am, when coaches arrive, to avoid queues. Plenty of long cruisy blues for your level.
Courmayeur in the Aosta Valley is a lively resort with buzzing town centre. You'll love the restaurants here. Some great intermediate runs but may not be quite enough to keep you entertained for a week unless you avail of day or two in La Thuile (40 minutes away by free bus) which has extensive range of blue runs. Not sure about ski in ski out though. We spent a week in La Thuile with just a day trip to Courmayeur so didn't take much notice of hotel options.
Courmayeur expensive by Italian standards but after 3 years in St Anton, you won't find it too pricey.

@dannygreen70, Saalbach would definitely fit the bill - answers to your specific points:
B&B available in many Pensions on the 2 main streets - e.g. Pension Norika. Not too many Pensions with full wellness spas; most have a sauna, but all of the large hotels have wellness facilities that non-residents can use for a fee.
Ski-in/ski-out - not too many B&B's have this, as the big hotels have grabbed all of the expensive land next to the lifts, but the Pensions/Hotels that back on to the nursery area (Norika, Konig, Ripper) are ski-in. You just need to walk up the street to get to one of the main lifts. Two British-run catered chalets - Pension Enzian (independently owned and ski-in/ski-out) and Ski Miguel's Chalet Christina (5 minutes from the Schattberg lift). On the subject of lifts, there are 3 main gondola lifts in Saalbach, all in the village but about 5 minutes apart, so if you are staying close to one lift, you will by definition be 5 minutes from either of the other two. To avoid trudging around in ski boots, most rental shops offer overnight depots.
90% of the pistes in the Ski Circus are long, cruising blues and reds - a far easier area for intermediates to ski than St. Anton.
Plenty of shops in both Saalbach and Hinterglemm and numerous restaurants, as well as a huge number of mountain huts.
Outside of New Year and Week 7, queues are very light. Even in these weeks, as there are 3 main lifts out of the village, the queues are rarely more than 10 minutes and disappear once you get up into the terrain. To be 100% certain, just avoid 9.30-10.15 when the ski school lessons begin.
Fly to Salzburg (90 minutes away by car); Munich or Innsbruck as alternatives.

@dannygreen70, Let me know if we can help - ski-in ski-out, opposite a main lift station and an easy downhill walk to the other two. 4 star hotel with Wellness Suite next door. For eating out and apres-ski, you'll be lost for choice! Next season sees the new link to Fieberbrunn so a good season to choose!
