Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We got them serviced just 4 weeks ago and the ski tech said he had to take off more of the edges than normal suggesting they were aggressive with the sharpening tool. She skied on them for a week and we cleaned then but not waxed them before We got the skis out again this week to use again and the edges are now severely rusted. If I post a picture can a knowledgable source advise me if they are dead or salvageable please ?

They are probably OK, but get your girlfriend a new pair of skis in a trendy colour.

K2 make a model called "Burning Love" ... they'll do wonders for your sex life and make her feel better about her skiing.

My misses thinks her skis have been "over waxed" with too much speedy wax. (You cant please everyone, especially if you are married to them)

@gnasher, probably fine. You can take the rust off with a file, it just means there was a bit of moisture in the bag or something.

Learn to do your own servicing and then you can control how much material you take off. I've just seen a pair done that was more rust than ski (!), they'll be fine too.
