Any reccommendations for a cheapish central hotel for a 4 night stay? What's night life like. Usual questions. Bunch of 50 something blokes, like lots of beer, Solden's titty bars not really for us well apart from one of us) Smile

Depends on what you mean by cheapish. Ischgl is one of the most expensive resorts in Austria. I only know of one 2* hotel, the Alpenrose. Lots of 3* B&Bs around. A few 3* hotels, lots of 4* and one 5*. As long as you are in the village your accommodation doesn't need to be central. Ischgl isn't that big and there are three lifts out of town. It's also notoriously difficult to get accommodation for a short stay, not necessarily impossible but full weeks are the standard. You won't go short of beer, that's for sure. There a couple of lap dancing clubs but easily avoidable and if you didn't go looking for them you wouldn't really notice them.

Had one response so far fro a hotel that said call us October. Alternatively we may go back to Mayrhofen.

You can stay in a 5 star Hotel in Ischgl for less than that but in the summer only

Bob, this place took a booking for a long weekend for me back in Jan 2011 booked it around November time.

We were going this year Wednesday to Monday and couldnt find anything even with 2 weeks before are departure and ended up in St Anton instead. If we had gone Sat - Thurs or Sun- Fri then there were a few options in the town
