Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommendation for 11 April with a beginner

 Poster: A snowHead

Hello fellow snowheads

I've got the wc 11th April off and planning a trip somewhere (not sure where yet). I'm going with a mate who can ski but wants to learn to snowboard - I myself am a intermediate'ish (happy on everything apart from mogully blacks).

Has anyone got any recommendations on where to go? I have been with UCPA 4 times, and was thinking about l2a (that's where i learnt - with UCPA) but looking at the webcams, there's not a lot of snow at the lower levels where the greens are.

I'm also trying to get it done as cheap as possible with half board (£500'ish)

Has anyone got any recommendations, I'm not particularity fussed on whether its France or Austria or somewhere else, as long as its good for beginners and intermediates and doesn't cost alot of money and has snow but is not Tignes (had a bad experience when I went there and not sure if I want to go back at the moment).

Thanks

@sn00boarder, look no further than here

SnowHeads bashes are superb value for money and this one is especially good value. It's also a smallish group compared to some of the other bashes, so a good start point!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hopefully not too late - but we booked a pretty last minute deal to L2A with Neilson leaving on the 11th, half board and within your budget. Greens down to resort are a death trap anyway - but the blues and reds up the glacier are a dream for beginners / intermediates - and pretty much guaranteed to be as good snow as you'll get for this time of year...

@sn00boarder, if your mate takes snowboard lessons with UCPA they'll find the right place for him to learn.

Thanks for the suggestions, we have decided to to go Le Corbier with Rocketski - very cheap (£415for me and £550'ish for my mate with lessons.)

Will be aiming for Val thorens with UCPA next season!
