Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

im going late season skiing from the 15th of april to the 19th of april. I'd prefer going to france in the Les trois vallees area since I have never been there before. I am a beginner-intermediate. Where would i find the best snow cover and a picturesque ski resort? Pls recommend

That is a conundrum - If you want to go to the 3V then by that time Val Thorens is about the only place I would recommend, unless we have a lot more snow. Unfortunately the current forecasts show it to be much warmer next week. Unfortunately, VT is not pretty if that is what is important to you. Meribel is - but if you check the state of the snow on the webcams here:

I would not recommend that as a place to go in 3 weeks.

There will be snow in Val D'Isere/Tignes Val is prettier in mountain style architecture but you may well encounter a slush fest on the way home - or you can download in a gondola/train. Tignes - you will be able to ski in and out of the top 3 villages (Lavachet, Le Lac or Val Claret)

1850 might be - but it is expensive and only just around the treeline - so in my book its not a picturesque ski resort. Sure there are lots of very pricey pretty chalets but the overall setting is not 'alpine charm'. Given this seasons snow and if skiing is important then VT would get my vote (but I do live in Tignes and architecture is pretty much down my list of priorities - I prefer ski sure and the grandeur of the high mountains)
