Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Killington resort in Vermont held its second Test Fest in December, 2014 and a great crop of small, independent ski builders showed up with demo skis and great attitudes to give hundreds of people over several days a chance to try interesting new skis and talk with the builders themselves. Representatives from the big companies like Rossignol, Elan, Head, FIscher and many others mixed and mingled with owner/builders from HG Skis, Parlor, Lucid and White Room Skis, along with RAMP, SkiLogik and Icelantic.

One of the greatest things to watch were Reps from big brands checking out the smaller brands...schmoozing and enjoying some spice and excitement of something new to their typical demo-day adventures throughout resorts all over the country. We sampled some skis from these smaller companies and reported our first impressions...

We speed-dated the following skis for several runs each:

• Lucid Cannon 182cm
• White Room Alaia 180cm
• White Room Rise 183cm
• Ramp Jailbird 165cm
• Ramp Jailbird 175cm
• HG Stinger 178cm
• Parlor Cardinal 178cm (100cm and 90cm waists)

See the 2014 Killington Test Fest Report for details and photos.
