Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

For damage limitation, the least they could do is make sure as few people as possible near them can tell they're linguistically challenged (speaking from "bitte" experience)...

There's been some more snow overnight, it was mixed a little with rain lower down I think but there's a lot of fresh snow at the top.

Does that snow consist of "freshies", or is it "pow", I get confused Puzzled
Looks like a pleasant day, what were the temps like?

Don't know but it's hard work on slalom skis I can say Very Happy Slightly heavy in places.

It's pretty warm actually, too warm at the bottom but it should drop again.

ise, would you say the conditions were better than this time last year?

Sharkymark, it's a lot better, it's exceptional really the lift company made a big splash of opening every lift and run on opening day and opening some lifts in November. Adelboden and Lenk have been the same, some other well known Swiss stations haven't been so good, the Valais hasn't had too much snow and other places in the Berne area struggled to get much open before Christmas.

Why did you choose to use your slalom skis, interesting choice for those conditions? Your photos make it look more a Zag's day Very Happy

The Zags would have been ideal so I took some Slalom skis. When you get it right it's good fun and good for practice. What's the alternative? Buy fat skis and transatlantic flights?

Laughing Laughing
Transatlantic flights...no thank you wink . I do want to try some fatter skis though, I like to make my life easier wink Very Happy
