Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Austrian tax refund

Hey folks, has anyone managed to claim back income tax paid whilst working a season in Austria? I've found a few companies online who are willing to do it for me, but I don't know what kind of cut they're going to want from the final sum so I was wondering if anyone has done it direct through the Austrian tax office or anything.

You should receive or ask for from your Austrian employer for proof of tax,social etc paid.

There is a double taxation agreement so when you do your tax return in your home country (presume UK) you should submit the above.
