Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

K2 Lotta Luv/Salomon X-Max V12

Hey
Need some advice/opinions on skis...

I'm 5'7", 60KGs female advanced mainly on piste skier who likes to go fast, turn fast and play with the boys! I also occasionally like to dabble off piste and play in the park (no rails or boxes!)
These two have struck me as possible contenders (unless anyone has any other ideas?!) and I was wondering if anyone had skied them/had any reviews?

Thanks in advance Toofy Grin

PS.
Do S+R let you demo skis?

It looks like the Lotta Luv is more of a park ski and the crossmax is more of an on-piste ski, not to say they won't be fine on or off-piste. If you're someone who likes skiing fast and agqressively, I would have thought you would be better suited to the crossmax.

How did you narrow your choice down to those skis InaSpin? I'm just interested because I've been narrowing down my choice to something I can use for smooth turns on-piste but which doesn't restrict me to doing GS turns off-piste.

At the end of the day I realise I'm going to have to test-drive 4 or 5 pairs of skis although I'm lucky enough to be skiing enough days this season to know I'm not missing out if I hate one of the pairs I'm trying...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Snowy, Good question! I used the number system on S+R to narrow down skis to suit my ability then had a look at the manufacturers website, as the description on the manufacturers website was often more accurate.
I think the crossmax V12 looks like an awesome ski that can cope with anything. I was also looking at the old crossmax 10, but the overall shape of the ski is very different and more similar to the K2 I was looking at which kind of got me thinking...but there you go!

Very Happy
