Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Soldeu ski hire

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Seeking a bit of advice. Me, the missus and our 6 year old son are off to soldeu next week. Am I better off booking the ski hire and lift passes online before we go or just turn up and get it? Also as beginners and having a lesson for a couple of hours on the first day will we still need a lift pass for the nursery slopes?
Thanks in advance

Hi....are you going with a tour operator ? We are going with Neilson next Sunday.....conditions and weather look great......lets hope nothing changes. Not our first time in Soldeu though.......been more than a few times.
If you are going with a tour op then they will probably try to sell you everything on the coach or at your welcome meeting. I'be always found this to be easier.although it can be slightly cheaper to book equipment hire with someone like Skiset. Price difference probably won't be too much.....convenience generally works for me.
If you are all complete beginners it would be worth considering a complete beginners package....which would probably include equipment, lift pass and 5 days tuition......the ski-school is great fun and the instructors are generally great. The lift pass in these packages does not include all of the Grandvalira area....but there is enough skiing in Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo to satisfy real newbies?
Please feel free to ask any questions.....you'll have a ball !

Sorry, didn't mention....you will need a lift pass to access the beginners slopes and ski school area.....at the top of the gondola from Soldeu....at the middle station called Espiolets.
