Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bought the Vantage and IOX a few weeks ago for what was then a bargain price. Great kit!

I have a pair of smiths but lack of TLC means they need replacing. Tried with cheapo mountain warehouse googles - some photochromic ones - complete and utter rubbish - the world is yellow and when you hit the shade i can see bug all. And now they have a lovely scratch across the front - from gently touching my ski edges in boot of car - the same treatment my Smith's have received but not scratched that easily. So mountain warehouse - cheap poo-poo - Smiths more expensive but seem to be worth it.

Not done an extensive analysis but these googles are cheaper with amazon

Me too, I need a new helmet but they're quoting 15-22 March delivery which will nearly be at the end of the season!

I have some Smith i/o goggles too and the visibilty is brilliant, much better than my Oakleys. However the photchromic ones seem to mist up between the lenses which is really annoying as you can't even wipe them. I always take my Oakleys out as spares now as I've lost confidence in my Smiths. Apparently this is a common problem, their advice to if it happens on the mountain is to find some toilets and warm them under a hand drier Puzzled cheers Smith

@Pete_Berks, have a look on Amazon - I just ordered some I/O X's for £84.40 and they'll be delivered this week rather than mid-March

@Arno, Thanks, I will do, I think part of the challenge is I would like a lens pair like Green Sol-X Mirror + Red Sensor Mirror, the igniter and red sensor mirror is close though and thats on Amazon
