Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Guides in Vallorcine / Le Tour

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Having a weekend in Vallorcine in March, and there are a couple of people interested in going with a guide for the Saturday.

Will probably need to be a private guide as likely be 2x skiers and 1x boarder.

Any recommendations?

Also anywhere in Vallorcine we can hire avi kit? I don't have my own as decent kit is inc on the UCPA holidays I usually use for off-piste.

Thanks Very Happy

Asmus Norreslet is very good. Don't be put off by the Danish website, he speaks excellent English. I hired him for a weekend in January based on the recommendation of a mutual friend, and was very impressed.

He tends to be booked up months/years in advance so if he has got an opening, grab it.

@kat.ryb, there is a small Sanglard in Valorcine, if they don't have avi kit in they will be able to get it from chamonix branch if you pre order. There is also a very helpful shop near the lift but I'm afraid I don't know the name.

@kat.ryb, guides sometimes have a few sets of avi gear that they rent to clients. Worth asking.

I toured with Hannah Burrows-Smith in January, she's based in Vallorcine and is very good. She tends to be booked well in advance, but you never know! You can google for her contact details. Its a great area for touring - enjoy!
