Poster: A snowHead

Was looking at them over the last week, jeez that's a proper sports watch, anyone got one and recommend/ discourage?
Thinking of pressing the German button sometime soon, just wondered if anyone owns one and has any feedback, I particularly like all the functionality with apps, maps, data etc. Think it tells the time too, but that a phone thing, I don't normally wear a watch unless I'm biking, skiing or hiking.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I know a few people with the Suunto 2, the previous GPS top model, and they love them. Since the 3 Series came out there are some bargain prices on the older 2 models.
I picked up the lower spec Suunto Core at a bargain price, and have found that I use very few of the features. For example the storm warning feature which beeps to alert of pressure changes, just tended to wake me up I the middle of the night, or go off in cable cars.
I guess it depends if you want to log your life or not. Having said that, I do use a handlebar mounted Garmin when mountain biking, for speed, distance, altitude, heart rate etc. But I haven't had the same desire to do that for skiing.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Was looking at this one myself but now Garmin Fenix 3 due to be released and it takes things even further as a watch that does everything. Check out dcrainmaker for reviews on any sports watch/device before you take the plunge.
