Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I know there are a few of you guys out there who are lucky enough to live in the area so I thought I'd ask a question..........Samerberg Sue etc?!

We were driving on the main Innsbruck/ Munich autobahn and went past just north-east of Kufstein about 19.00 on Saturday evening and there was a floodlit ski hill all set up, looking fantastic and very impressive, almost tempted to stop and unpack the car and get busy but 8 days in Arlberg had done me in! Just wondered what/ where it was and is it an option or is it a club-night/ members only/ locals thing?

It is Oberaudorf and they have night skiing on the Hocheck About 4 nights of the week -Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It also has an amazing toboggan run. Day pass is 21 Euro.

sure I've seen at least one other. must be on the Alpbach side somewhere when I was heading toward Innsbruck once. didn't note exactly where, but somewhere between Kufstein and Innsbruck. unless i was hallucinating on too much coffee and thinking about snow.

edit: and quickly looking at the map... it may have been Reith im Alpbachtal? (assumed Alpbach was up a side valley somewhere)

@andy, You're right, Reith im Alpbachtal have night skiing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and it's visible from the motorway. It's not the one that @Markymark29, was talking about though - as others have said, that's Oberaudorf.
