Poster: A snowHead
|
3pm Wednesday 4th Feb from L'Etable restaurant on Sodoleuvre: Villars-Gryon. Locked up but carried off. 80 racers carrying skis down after racing so lots of people with skis on shoulders... Please Keep a look out for my babies. Very distinctive (and obviously desirable)...[/img]

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Unique setup:
DPS Wailer 112 Hybrid
Beast 16 bindings:
toepieces 2015 gold
Heel pieces 2014 silver and green
105 brakes on a 112 ski.
If you see them on the hill get a photo of the dirtbag rider - name and shame...

Grinning, Have you tried asking the race organizers ? Racers are usually wary of anyone taking their own kit so may be more likely to look carefully at other people carrying skis.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Race organisers were in the restaurant from where the skis were stolen and no help but very sympathetic.
Police were great and have noted an increase in theft of touring skis (probably because there is a greater proportion of them out there). Very few thefts here, apparently.
My pack will now be weighed down by an even heftier padlock and cable.
Serial numbers and details below:
DPS stolen
4 February 2015 1:30-3pm from L'Etable restaurant, Gryon, near Villars, Vaud, Switzerland.
Locked with combination padlock against restaurant terrace ski stand with Komperdell poles. Poles discarded and skis likely carried over shoulder because touring bindings will not accept normal alpine boots. Track headed to little-used ski de fond track and not to valley floor where exit only possible by Sodoleuvre T-bar or Villars Golf chairlift. All lifties advised by piste security and restaurant owner. Lifties aware of identity of skis.
SKIS:
DPS Wailer 112 Hybrid 190cm
Yellow with black branding
Serial No: 190W112-11-0283
BINDINGS:
Beast 16 bindings:
Serial No. 2278 of 2500
Toe pieces 2015 - gold colour
Heel pieces 2014 - silver colour and green
BRAKES:
Integral 105mm brakes (on a 112 ski).

@Grinning, Many of the racers are local to the area, and the race was organised by Aiglon college. I will pass on the details to the Aiglon race team, and ask them to keep an eye out
