Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

1:1 off piste instruction Chamonix?

Poster: A snowHead
I will be in Argentiere again first week in April, looking for recommendations for a good instructor (rather than guiding) for a half day or day 1:1 session to work on specific technical aspects of my skiing (I'm SCGB purple / InsideOut L9 sort of level). eg steeps, bumps etc (depending on conditions). The one recommendation I have had is Alison Culshaw but she seems to be booked up already. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
Chris is good. It was slightly tricky for him because there were two of us: my friend could only focus on one thing at a time and couldn't add a new, complimentary technique to the one we were just shown. Whereas I'm happy to keep building up many new techniques within one lesson (may not always get it right, mind you). Chris coped very well with this disparity and maintained a polite and patient demeanour throughout the lesson. And kept his sense of humour, which I appreciated because skiing is about having fun!

He had me skiing on much steeper terrain than I am normally comfortable with and, by the end of the lesson, I had lost the fear and was even wooping! I also received some good direction on dealing with bumps and chop on steeps and he provided a great tool for keeping my hands (and thus my body) at the correct angle to the slope. I now need to go away and practise, practise, practise Very Happy
