Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, as my quest for the ideal group holiday continues, can anyone tell if it would work logistically staying in a chalet in Westerndorf and using a creche in Hopfgarten? Would we be able to get a taxi? Is there a frequent bus service? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Taxis for Hopfgarten come from Westendorf anyway. There are Post bus links as well.

Skibus runs between Hopfgarten and Kitzbuhel stopping at Westendorf, Brixen and Kirchberg so you can get to and fro in about 10 mins. Timetables can be downloaded at

. Good taxi service in Westendorf anyway.

I reckon you would waste a lot of time gathering family up ive now got past the child of my own stage now going with grand kids and really would want everything i.e child care, lift ,nursery slope, main lift, hotel within 2 minutes otherwise I would feel ive spent a lot of £s for what?

thanks all, I'm inclined to agree with you, skiforfun. I have older children and am past that stage (off to Samoens with them soon...yay!) but am planning ahead for next year with a large group that includes toddlers. there was a great chalet at westerndorf and i was trying to see if it could work....
