Ok so we are going on ski hol in couple of weeks time, hubby works away from home, & just announced that desperately needs new ski jacket as one he has is pants!
He is a tall v slim guy, 6', one of this lucky bugs that actually suits the ultra slim fit suits, skinny jeans etc rather than the rest of us who just try to squeeze ourselves into them!
Basically as we live in middle of nowhere, I have to do a bit of Internet shopping to find him a new jacket. He is also an outdoor label snob (although would obviously never admit to this) so I just wanted to check amongst you guys what make of jacket might be good for him?!!

Arc'teryx and Norrona do slit fit jackets and, I suppose, would meet the label snob criteria

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What is your budget?
Only place to get all the measurements and detailed comments on fit that I've ever found:

Maybe start with the ArcTeryx Rush, and branch out into the different jackets they compare it to. Within a few branches you should find one or two that match your husband's need profile. It's a really good site for trying to predict what might work [e.g. they mention whether the jacket pockets are convenient if you're wearing a backpack or not; which is an issue if you're often off-piste and normally wearing a backpack... Stuff like that].
The jackets on their aren't cheap; but remember that anything Black Diamond or ArcTeryx comes with a lifetime warranty so any serious (non 'general wear and tear' but like a busted zip or a dodgy seam coming loose) issues and they'll just flat-out replace it, even after like 5 years.
Edit: also all the reviewers are about 6 foot too!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I think the Scandi brands are more this type of fit, so Sweet Protection, Norrøna, Haglofs are worth a look too.

My Haglofs jacket is fairly slim fitting - bought in 2015 though, so can't remember the model!

Superdry ski jackets are slim fitting. I'm 6ft 4 and slim. Superdry stuff fits great
