Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving from Oslo to Hemsedal - suitable places to stop for a break?

Drive takes about 3.5-4 hours and we'll probably want to break on the way. Anyone got any suggestions for a nice place to stop, take a "comfort" break and possibly grab a coffee?

Guess this is way too late, but if anyone is looking..... Noresund is ok, but if you're driving the new tunnel/road between Sokna and Ørgenvika (and you should do) then that cuts out Noresund and the "normal" place to stop is Flå.

If you want to stop early, for Norway's very best burgers, then you should pull off the E16 at Garntangen, between Sundvollen and Vik. If not then keep going to Flå as there's not much of note in between. After Flå there's the roadside café/petrol station/supermarket at Nesbyen, then another possibility at Gol, but by then you're almost there.

Watch out between Flå and Nesbyen, just after Bromma. There's a stretch with two speed cameras to check your average speed. And they will send the fine to the UK if they catch you. Chances are you won't drive too fast anyway, unless you're really hammering it as the road (Rv7) is quite twisty.

@squawker, thanks. We went through the tunnel. I kept the speed down and haven't received any speeding notices...yet!
