Poor questioning technique. Made a series of statements to Lindsay Vonn, which revealed her own standards/opinions, rather than asking indirect questions. Needs a little bit of training which I would be happy to provide!

Last week her eyebrows freaked me out somewhat. She seemed to have sorted it out this week.
I can see why she's been parachuted in but her presenting style needs an awful lot of polish. Ed Leigh and Graeme Bell are very good, Chemmy just sounds like she's constantly reading off a script.
I thought yesterday's show wasn't great in any case (apart from having Chemmy and Lindsey Vonn on screen at the same time); but then Wengen and the Hundschopf is a real disappointment to miss out on. Thankfully i caught some of that on the red button in the morning.

T'was awful. Vonn is a monotoned skidroid who seems to infuse as much passion into talking about skiing as reciting sections from a plumbing catalogue. Alcott just asked the questions then answered them herself and her delightful story about the time she beat Vonn back in 19-odd-6 landed as lightly as a concrete rhinoceros. Surprised Vonn didn't finish the interview by asking "Sorry, who are you again?".

Ski Sunday was poor last night. The piece from Cortina didn't adequately explain why there were two downhills run there last week and why we only got tiny amounts of women's skiing, goodness only knows.

The Beeb just don't take sports coverage seriously anymore and dumb down everything to the point of no return in pursuit of their middle class socialist values.
Also what is up with Chemmy's eyebrows - her and the Vonnmeister were like two long lost tranny mates meeting up after a few years of no-see.

I would be quite happy to stand in for Chemmy in all future episodes as an alternative. My teeth are smaller, as are my eyebrows.... I am also quite good at asking intelligent questions..
I do think Ski Sunday needs a recreational skier/roving reporter (me!  ) to check out resorts, be a guinea pig for technique tips, take off piste adventures, test new kit etc etc.... (Me me me!).

I was completely confused by this. I could only guess that the second DH was one moved from another venue.

Love the criticism of a wolrd class ski racer as a TV interviewer ....!? As if you are all better
GB was just as bad in the early days.
And whilst they are very perty, to be honest Vonn and Chemmy speaking about skiing on TV is pretty good TV from a sportspersons point of view.
And there is no doubt Vonn knows who she is. CA got to an exceptionally high skiing level worldwide with bug all national support. She is a credible wolrd class athlete talking to one of the best ever.

Yes, I completely agree - she fell into that old trap that ex-pro's just becoming tv presenters often do, of trying to show that they know the answers when interviewing, by subtly slotting their own opinion into the question they're asking (as if to show off their knowledge). Just ask the questions plainly, and let the interviewee answer. Save your expertise for a pundit type situation where it's more appropriate.
That said, I think actually think she'll develop into a really good tv broadcaster - lots of other sporting presenters were a lot worse at this stage (Gary Lineker was awful in the early days!)
