Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Excited - My online lift passes have arrived

Ordered a six day 3 valleys lifts pass through the Les Menuires official site and they arrived this morning. We shall arrive in Resort between 1-2pm and haoped to get some skiing in. The 6 day family pass is approx the same price as a 5 day - 2 adult and 2 children individual passes. The 6 day willnow cover whatever we do on the first afternoon. Rambling I know, but I am soooo excited.

I can thoroughly recommend this way of purchasing passes as you can gaze lovingly at them long before your holiday (saddo)

Good idea. I'm going to gaze lovingly at my London Transport one-day bus pass next time I buy one.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Frosty the Snowman, iirc the 3V has gone hands-free this year. Are they skidata passes ? Did you have to send photos ?

brian, No photos required. They look like credit cards. In fact Mrs FTS had hers declined at Tesco's this lunchtime.

Hands free passes are superb when they work well.

Frosty the Snowman, they are good. If it's skidata I can use my swatch which is good for those annoyingly positioned card readers that don't quite match the pocket you put it in wink

I have been most impressed with the 3V system - it works very well and reads my card every time. No hassle whatsoever.

Even with a season pass, there's no photo on the pass - the photo is held centrally and the lifties can see it on a hand-held screen if they want to.

And besides from that obvious advantage, it's another essential item to add to tickets and passport, that you really wouldn't want to forget rolling eyes

Do you pay "rack rate" or is there a discount for buying up front?

regards

Greg

gregh, I don't think there's any discount for buying up front, it's just a matter of convenience - avoids the queue on the first morning. On the other hand, it's something else to lose or forget.

gregh, I paid the rack rate but the reasons I did it are as follows:
It will save any effort once in resort
Once in resort time will be short on day 1 if we are to get in any significant mileage.
Won't get stiffed by tour operator exchange rate.
No postage charge
I am sad

The family pass is a good saving on the individuals.

Isn't it all rather exciting - I can imagine the fun of holding the passes. I've sorting out details for my first week. Anticipation is part of the fun snowHead
