Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are contemplating traveling to Davos Switzerland tomorrow in the campervan . But we're wondering if anyone knows wether we can just park on a car park a bit further up the mountain ( Davos dkb) for ski in ski out and to avoid trains and busses . Is this possible without any hassle does anyone know ?? Thank you !

@danmc66999, Security will be red hot in advance of the 'Party' so I would say you may well get some hassle

Contact the Davos Tourist Office, there may well be restrictions as to where you can and cannot put your van, the tourist office will usually know just what is possible

@danmc66999, I was there (to ski) just before they WEF a few years ago and they have the army/police/SS on the streets with really big guns looking utterly unchilled. The Swiss are a lovely lot but can be a little serious about these type of things at times

I suggest stashing the battle bus in an official place (if any) or perhaps park down the hill at Klosters (although somehow I doubt that will be too much better)

There is lots of parking in Davos around the ski lifts. Many of the parking places are filled with vans and camper vans. If in doubt, park next to a youth hostel. I never had any problems, although sometimes there was a charge.

I did not stay long in Davos long as the weather was bad, and forecast to remain bad. I was there just before the WEF too and there was no additional security at that time of which I was aware.

Cool

There is a campsite at bottom of rhinerhorn if all else fails. Best place to be if there is a lot of snow as everywhere else closes. Bar at bottom of rhinerhorn can be amusing but opens odd days. Did once camp in car park in klosters, much quieter there, didn't have any problems but only stayed 1 night.
