Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Menuires: navettes / restaurant recommendation

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're off to Les Menuires soon. Optimisitcally, we might be in resort are early as 2pm - we land in Grenoble around 10am local time in a quiet week. Realistically it'll be closer to 4pm I know, but just on the off chance I wondered if we might be able to get in an hour's skiing on arrival day, just to get the legs going. I did have a look at the navettes to Val Thorens, but it appears the don't allow you to take skis. Makes sense, of course. Does anyone know if that's actually the case? Are there any free lifts in Les Menuires

also, we'll be out for a meal on the chalet staff's night off, can anyone recommend a place to eat? Ideally somewhere that serves a really nice Tartiflette would be super. We're staying in a chalet up in Reberty if that makes a difference, not stayed in LM before so not sure how easy it is to get around

thanks in advance, snowheads!

@nbt, La Ferme Reberty, email and book now. http://www.lafermedereberty.com/contact.html.

Do not wait till in resort they will be booked up.

http://www.hotel-ours-blanc.com/en/ is the other choice but pricier and further away.

Easy ski down from Reberty to Les Menuires,

You could ski down on day one and bus back, no free lifts that I remember.

PM if you want.

Quote:
Chalet Reberty is part of a small hamlet of chalets in the Reberty area Les Menuires which nestles on the hillside above the main centre. The living room is south facing with large doors that open onto a spacious balcony. It lies beside the Boyes piste (blue run) and is 150m to the nearest lifts that link into the Three Valleys network.

We're just behind L'iGloo, I think?

@nbt, Which is next to La Ferme, book it. L'igloo is OK, and fine for lunch, burgers not bad and cheaper than La Ferme ( but slower)

They will recommend the skiset for your skis, but use the Twinner at the top of the hill, get the bus and ski back, its 100 meters.

Its a great place I go every year, and an easy ski out to two lift that get you to the pistes quickly, best skiing is down the hill over the bridge and up to La Masse,Blacks and reds mainly.

Ours Blanc. Everything else is a backup plan. Might as well book lunch there every day, then forget about skiing the afternoons - you won't have room.
